RACETEC™ RR compounds have been developed for all situations.
In RACETEC™ RR, selected polymers and resins are blended with various grades of carbon black to enhance response on slippery surfaces.
RACETEC™ RR front tires engage with road surface particulates, increasing grip and wear resistance.Furthermore, it has a long service life even under severe road conditions.
The polymer blend provides high flexibility even at low temperatures.
The RACETEC™RR is highly adaptable to a wide range of surfaces and temperatures, so the rider can choose between the K2 front tire compound for greater stability and precision in corner entry, or the K1 compound for more predictability and grip. The rider can choose either the K2 version for high stability and precision in corner entry or the K1 version for predictability and grip.
■Rear grip
Grip performance in all road conditions
There are many different surface conditions on a public road race course.RACETEC™ RR compounds have been developed for all situations.
In RACETEC™ RR, selected polymers and resins are blended with various grades of carbon black to enhance response on slippery surfaces.
For the rear tires, choose tires based on the friction coefficient of the asphalt (high hardness/friction or low hardness/friction, depending on the circuit or road race) and the road surface temperature (the threshold is about 25°-30°C).
The RACETEC™RR rear tire has two blended cap base structures and a super conductive center stripe that distributes heat to the tire shoulders to maintain tire temperature on long straights and ensure optimal grip when cornering.
■Stability
Accuracy and stability at high speeds
RACETEC™ RRs feature a composite structure split between the crown and the carcass flanks for optimum response in all situations.
Stability is important when driving at full speed on long straights (where aerodynamic interference occurs) or when passing through sewer covers, road surface repair marks, and bumps in public road races.
In both cases, the bike floats rapidly and then lands on the ground, causing both tires and shock absorbers to compress and the subsequent rebound to cause a temporary loss of stability.
The crown is made of special rayon fiber.This fiber has high linear density and stiffness, and the entire fiber can sustain high stresses and loads and maintain the tire shape.
In addition, these fibers also serve to dampen the rebound stroke, distributing and absorbing the shock throughout the carcass and dampening the rebound as it returns to its original shape.
The side sections are robust and have a low deformation rate, maintaining the entire structure even under pressure and allowing the driver to accurately trace the target line, even on long straights and at full bank.

Long life and consistent high performance
The distance traveled in a public road race can be as long as 240 km.
This is equivalent to about three times more than circuit driving.
