I used a 10mm->8mm adapter for a Cub.
The quality, especially the coating is great. It hasn't rusted although it's been left 5 years out in the rain.
However, the inner side will rust. I couldn't remove adaptor from the mirror because of the rust.
I used a large wrench to remove it but it required quite a bit effort.
