Increase in power with the same engine capacity!
About quality and texture: The quality of the high compression piston is superb, especially at this price point. The piston is light weight, and there is a very slightly perceptable dome on the top of the piston, which increases the compression when installed in the engine.About the feeling of use: After installation, there was a persceptable increase in power. Not a very big increase, but still noticable. And this while maintaining the same engine capacity. Great if you want to race in the super stock category. It is also usable as a daily driver, as this modification is not too extreme.Products to buy together: You need to install this piston with the racing cam made by Kitaco (which I had already installed before hand.) The combination of the racing cam and high compression piston results in the a perceptable increase in power and performance. Difficulty of installation: As this invloved dismanteling the top part of the engine, and I did not have the tools or skillset to do this, I got a trusted mechanic to do the installation for me. I suppose if you have the right tools and skillset, installation is possible for a intermediate home mechanic.Cost performance and comparison with other products: There arent many other choices when it comes to high compression piston kits for the Kawasaki Z125 pro. (The other being from Takegawa). And compared to Takegawa, the Kitaco is cheaper. Nevertheless, the Kitaco kit still provides a good improvement in power for a more reasonable price. About shipping and packaging: Shipping was fast. However, for the Z125 Pro, the piston was produced only upon order, so there was about 2 weeks of wait before it was actually shipped. Packaging was, as usual, superb and secure.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: The only main concern I had was the manufacturers claim that this hi comp kit can be used without a fuel controller. However, so far, this seems to be true as the engine has been running without problems. (I still use the original airbox and have an aftermarket exhaust).
