Performance Damper

YAMAHA's liveried Performance damper.
Installation can be done without any problem as per the Instruction Manual. However, it is necessary to prepare TorqueT50 with anti-torque protection.

Personal impressions after installation
Dumping ability of the vehicle as a whole is increased! Impacts from disturbances from the ground, etc. are clearly reduced. In addition, the vibration of the car body (my Racer is around the footpeg) is also reduced.
For some people, the Rider's input is also damped by the Minus point, which dampens the impact to the body etc. To get the best mobility, it is necessary to be aware of the input with a good balance. However, once you get used to it, it will not become a large problem.

I bought it out of curiosity and enthusiasm when I saw a Performance damper for sale that could be attached to the Tor Racer I use for medium to long distance touring.

Was the one you received as per Image?
The performance damper itself is a Yamaha Universal Product. The damper itself is a YamahaUniversal Product (or maybe the contents are slightly different?), so I had seen it on other cars before, so it was exactly as I had imagined.

Was the installation difficult?
A helpful and illustrated Instruction Manual is included in the package, so you can install it without any problems if you read it carefully.

How was your experience with it?
I'll be honest about how I felt before it was installed. I don't have a bad ride on the Normal Racer, and it's not a violent vehicle, so I wouldn't know the difference..." I thought...
Impression of test ride after installation:It may be hard to tell in choppy or city driving, but the ride becomes moist and calm (sorry for the lack of vocabulary).
If you are looking for a Quickly Passpa body like the first generation MT-09, this may not be the Parts you need.

[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Touring is my main objective and I have not been disappointed.
When turning back at a high pace on Winding, the sense of stability is stronger than on Normal (there is no such thing as not being able to fall or turn), so those who want to run through it with a whiz and a flop may feel a little uncomfortable... but you will get used to it.

It would be even better if the Unit itself were more compact.
I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the future, as they are in the midst of expanding Large models that are supported.

Ordered a yamagata performance damper for yamaha tracer 900 gt 2020 version, haven't install yet , performance damper come in good condition, fast delivery and in good packaging and boxes

Had the item installed at a workshop, quick 20 mins Job. First impression is that handlebar vibration is gone. Used to feel like my hands are holding on to a electric drill when riding. Now it's more comfortable. As for handling, I havent really noticed much difference cornering wise. Will recommend this item for sure.
