After adding back the passenger foot rest I also needed teh ancillaries to do so. This was one of those parts needed. Otherwise, the foot peg would not stay in the upright position and just flop. Yes, I already tried without this washer.Cost was good, in fact, cheap and shipped with other items in my order. Delivered in a week. All went together really well and now the foot pegs do not flop around. A nice click from in the down position and then the upright position. Brilliant, thanks Webike
