Replacement Tensioner Push Rod Spring for the Grom
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of cam chain tensioner spring from Honda. The spring is made from steel and provides the appropriate tension on the cam chain tensioner at low engine RPM. About the feeling of use: The previous owner had installed a manual tensioner rod that I did not wish to use so reverting back to the automatic cam chain tensioner system from Honda required this spring to be added. Having a low maintenance chain tensioner is good to have again.Products to buy together: Adding the hard Kitaco tensioner cap would also be desirable to purchase along side this spring to remove the chance of deformation that usually occurs to the softer Honda tensioner cap.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 5 minutes, after the installation of the spring and sealing bolt adding 4cc of oil to the tensioner rod oiler port is required. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a genuine Honda part that will have an long service life at a good price and the whole cam chain tensioner system from Honda is much cheaper when compared to the manual tensioner system available aftermarket.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged.Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: The Webike OEM parts section will be most helpful for sourcing other parts needed for your repairs.
