Motorradhupe Zweiton

I chose this Horn because it was by far my favorite design out of the many Horns that have a plain design. I thought I would have chosen the TWINTone, but it is a little big for a 4MINI. It has a strong presence.

The OEM's single tone was poor, so I decided to buy it.
Mistuba's AlphaHorn is my preference in terms of sound quality, but since there seems to be no Space in MT09, I chose Hella's Twin Horne.

[Merit]
Space is just about safe for MT09.
Say goodbye to poor sounding chords.
The process is a little labor intensive, but not difficult.

[Demerit]
The holes in the bracket are Large, so a Washer is required.
The OEMBolt is too short because it requires more brackets and washers, so you need to buy a slightly longer Bolt.
It is a little troublesome without Electric Works Pliers or Other's tools.

Almost everything you need is available at Home center.

Wiring Cord 0.5 (even 0.75)
Plain Type Terminal

Longer Bolt than OEM
Washer (with Large hole)
Heat shrinkable Tube
That's all
Relay and retrofit Fuse are not set.

Ingenuity
We decided to keep the OEM terminal (Female) alive and not cut it off, thinking that it might be returned to OEM.
Quantity with Female terminal occluded:Crimp the Male terminal by combining the 2pc Wiring into one wire.
This Quantity:Create two Sets.

In this way, it is possible to use the OEM terminals to connect to Horn without truncating the OEM Female terminals.

OEMFemale terminals→CustomMale terminals→Quantity:CustomFemale terminal→Horn's Male terminal split into 2pcs.
Kore×Quantity:2 Set. (Plus and Minus)

Relay is not set.
Since it was only energized for a moment, I thought it was Large sturdy.

I am satisfied enough that it will no longer be a poor monophonic sound.

It must have been lying in a warehouse for a very long time.
Mold was growing in the gap between Bracket and Body.
What a life force...
I wiped it off with Alcohol, but it may still be lurking there.
Huh...

Since two of them consume the same amount of power as one OEM horn, I'm planning to use branch wiring instead of Relay.
The Emon version is too short, so we are procuring it separately along with the Bracket.
The sound has been confirmed by video and other means, but it seems to be on par with passenger cars.

It's hard to say if it's recommendable or not, because we all have our own preferences in sound.

[How is it used?
I replaced the NORMAL SingleHorn because it sounded so crappy.

Was the one you received as per Image?
There was no information on the dimensions of the product body, and it was smaller than the Image.
HornBody diameter approx. 72mm, thickness approx. 37mm including mounting bolt on the back
The length of Bracket was about 71mm. (I measured it after installation, so it may not be accurate.

Was the installation difficult?
If you have no problems with Space, just remove and replace the NORMAL mounting bolt.
If NORMAL is Single, you need to prepare two-way Wiring or HornRelay Kit separately, and if it doesn't sound due to lack of voltage of OEM, you need Relay.

How was your experience with it?
Volume is enough. As for the sound quality, because the size is small, the heavy sound like Benz does not come out, but because it becomes a chord, the shabbiness of NORMAL is solved a little.

[Was there anything that disappointed you?
The sound was checked on Youtube beforehand, so nothing special.

Other items that would be helpful
It is written in the cautionary note not to touch Bolt of Bracket and not to move Bracket because there is a bad influence on the sound quality, but I ignored and touched it in order to shift the position of the terminal, but there was no problem especially. However, it is better not to touch the Plus screw which is attached to the body. If you want to convert SingleHorn to Double, you need a kit of Two-way Wiring or HornRelay separately.
