Doesn’t work with Acerbis fuel tank

I have a 2014 CRF250L and have added an Acerbis fuel tank. When I installed this today, I tried to reinstall the Acerbis fuel tank, and it won't fit. The Acerbis fuel tank has a bump on the bottom rear that hits this velocity stack. Ideally, KSPP should mold these so the top is about 6-7 mm lower than hat it is. I am just going to try heating the fuel tank and heating the velocity stack to see if I can soften them enough to get clearance. I realize this will void the warranty, but the shipping is so expensive, it doesn't make sense for me to return it.
